Description
SOLENERGY SOLENERGY ⌠SUNFLOWER STC■ PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR CONCENTRATORS The main current market trends in Photovoltaic Solar Power Generation are growing world demand for PV modules and further PV solar modules per watt costs The current minimal cost of Photovoltaic electricity generated is around Aus$ 30 cent per kWatt. Further reduce cost of energy cost can be achieved in Photovoltaic Concentrators. Main disadvantage of existing PV Concentrators are low reliability of solar tracking systems, reduced life of PV modules, higher system and maintenance costs Energystore Group developed Photovoltaic Concentrating Power plants with a minimal cost of electricity PV generates AUS 15 cents/Kwatt and life expectancy not less then 25 years. ⌠SUNFLOWER STC■ system is more energy-efficient Photovoltaic Solar power systems compared to current mainstream products on the market with twice less demand in PV modules. Such a big break through achieved by combination of existing Photovoltaic Solar modules technology with our market proved Solar Trackers SUNFLOWER ST series and new invented Ridge Soft Concentrators with concentration ratio C1.8. Further 11 % efficiency increase was achieved in Air Cooled System Sunflower STCA system Cooler operating temperature of solar modules increases the life expectancy of solar modules in concentrators and avoids browning of the EVA encapsulant compare to existing soft concentrated PV systems. The main advantages of Solenergy Photovoltaic Concentrators are: high reliability, low components costs, installation and maintenance costs, less ground space requirements. You have made a wise investment by purchasing this SOLAR TRACKING CONCENTRATOR. The heavy-duty mount is a collective effort of industry-educated designers and engineers with strength, durability and performance. Innovative, high-performance features combined with proven durability and dependability make the tracker dream for installers and users. The Polar Mount solar tracking concentrator designed to track sun orbit with using one actuator. Seasonal adjustments can be done with pivot axis adjustment bolt or additional actuator. POWDER-COAT FINISH The finish coat consists of a thermoset resin that provides excellent weather protection. UNIQUE EXTRUDED BRIDGE RIB This additional center bridge rib, extruded between the sidewalls, provides more strength than a conventional hollow rib. Standard on all STC Models. 3/4" SHOULDER BUSHINGS Shoulder bushings (2) provide a maintenance-free smooth polar pivot on the pre-assembled mount. Insure that no large trees, building, etc., prevent a clear sky view. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Assemble STC frame according to Figs Solar module holes should fit exactly to the frame holes Fit reflector to the Solar modules side frame with the self tap screws Setting the Elevation/Declination. Install elevation angle equal to latitude of the installation site with an Elevation Adjustment Bolt. It is recommended to install -20 deg less Elevation angle for maximum winter output for the Stand Alone Solar System. For Grid Connected System it is recommended to install +20 more Elevation angle for maximum summer output. Seasonal adjustment of the polar mount increase output of the system up to 5% and can be done manually by Elevation Adjustment Bolt. (Seasonal Automatic Tracking system available with STD dual axis trackers) The Concentrator assembly is now complete. Make sure that all the bolts and nuts are securely wrench tightened. The Concentrator is ready to adjust for tracking. It can be used with solar trackers for PV modules, thermal collectors and solar concentrators SPECIFICATION Tracking method Brightest sky spot Tracking accuracy 0.15 deg Daily time operating mode (set up by software/program) 5 sec active drive/ 4min stand-by waiting Nightly time operating mode East direction driving ( actuator build-in limit switch required) Supply battery voltage 12-48 Volt Minimum voltage cut-of 11.5 Volt Maximum output current in driving mode 9 A Absolute maximum output current for 1sec 20.4 A Current consumption in stand-by mode 1mA Overcurrent/tempetature protection Polyfuse Reverse supply protection Diode protection Operating temperature -10 deg C to +50deg C Size 125mm x 75mm x 40mm Weight Approx. 200g. Solar Tracker Controller STU-48 Installation instruction: The Solar Tracker Controller STU-48 is designed to drive linear actuators with built in limit switches. Warning: please set up extension limit switch correct to avoid damage of actuator. Maximum actuator extension and recommended tilt angle of the frame from horizontal line is 60deg. STU bracket can be fitted on top or bottom part of the frame or modules. In the battery less application (direct connection to PV modules) STU recommended to fit on the East side of the frame. Two sensors should be in horizontal position, when solar array are facing to the North (South in Northern hemisphere). Connect yellow wires to No1 and blue wire to No2 actuators terminals (inside the cover actuator circuit diagram indicated No1 and No2 terminal as a ⌠motor wires■) . For ST-2 model: plug in connector inside the cover of actuator. Connect battery supply voltage 12-48Volt to red and black wires of STU (there is 1 min checking time available, if it is not enough, reconnect red wire again). First check is for correct motor wires connection: block the light on the sensors (by hand or any other object), actuator should move frame to the east position. (If it moves to west, change polarity connections wires to the actuator) Second check is for correct STU sensors position: two sensors always are pointing the tracker to the brightest spot in sky. Block one LED sensor from the light. Tracker should move in direction of open to the light LED (If it moves opposite, turn over STU unit).
